The Council's jurisdiction covers an area of about 2700 dunams (2.7 sq. km). The Council engages in providing services to industrial plants within its jurisdiction and in creating a comfortable, pleasant and effective work environment for export oriented industrial plants. The Council was established in this format to create a productive and export industrial hub in the Galilee; the local industry provides challenging and high quality employment for the residents of the region and contributes to the establishment of a productive and healthy society.
An export-oriented industry has developed in the industrial council during its 14 years of existence, providing employment for 7000 employees who are residents of the region, and contributing over one billion dollars to Israeli export.
The Local Council of Migdal Tefen views itself as a leading partner in the development of the Galilee.
