Haarava Hatichona

600 families reside in the Arava Hatichona in 7 settlements and the majority of the population earns its livelihood from agriculture. This highly developed agricultural system, with cutting edge technologies meeting world-class standards, implements environment friendly growing methods in a clean environment, mostly designated for export. The region’s breathtaking natural expanses and desert landscape are some of Israel’s most beautiful spots. The environment is free of the urban hustle and bustle as well as of pollution, providing quality of life, peace of mind and healthy living.

The Council provides high quality services and lists population growth and bringing in additional families into the region as one of its key priorities, while maintaining quality of life and the rural and “green” way of living of the Arava.
